The Philippine Azkals went head to head with the L.A. Galaxy yesterday in a friendly game dubbed the “dream cup match”.
I have wanted to do a 360 shoot of an Azkals game for the longest time. This is the 4th time I’ve watched them live in Rizal Stadium. On all the previous matches people were not allowed to bring in DSLRs. This time they allowed it with limitations, you can only bring in lens with focal length up to 50mm, Good thing I only needed my 8mm lens. The bad thing, I had to shoot without my tripod. So sorry for some misalignments in the photo.
The azkals had their chances on the first half but clearly L.A. galaxy dominated the game. I was in awe just watching the L.A. stars play. Their passing were right on, goals were effortless, headers on target. Atleast we got to score a goal, Indonesia was scoreless (but..they only conceided 1 goal.hehe). It was funny how people shrieked (even men) when David Beckham would go to the side to take corner kicks.
I wish we’d see more games like this. Super star teams visiting us for friendlies. It would really boost the interest in the sport. Azkals vs Barcelona?!?!? Who knows, the scoreboard will definitly be worse but the experience for the azkals and the fans will be priceless!

hi dad1! wala akong media pass spectator lang talaga ko. Next time try ko to get one. closed na kasi yung media accreditation nung maisipan ko magshoot. Pero ang ganda sana nun if i were closer sa field.
