I went to Tagaytay over the long weekend with Kamille and her friends. They didn’t have anything planned so I suggested we eat at Memory Lane. I’ve always wanted to see the place because I’ve had several friends post photos of their trip to this restaurant.
As you can see on the 360 virtual tour the place has this 50′s and 60′s vibe. There are old movie posters and antique items all over the place. There’s also a gift shop and a salon at the back.

I got to see UST at night after the new year due to some unfortunate incident. My girlfriend’s brother had to be admitted to the UST hospital due to dengue fever.
I never appreciated UST until I saw it at night with all the lights on plus Kamille gave me a tour of her school and I realized how much historical value the place has. So when we headed back there I decided to bring my camera and shoot the place.

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you had a blast in 2011. If you’re planning trips for 2012 you should definitely include Caramoan Islands. We went there in August 2009 so this is actually an old post I had to delay uploading it since I wanted to apply some new post processing techniques I learned just recently.

Policarpio Street is the popular street in Mandaluyong City known for the wonderful Christmas lights and decorations of the houses.
I saw this on TV I think last year but only had the chance to see it today, I was accompanied by my girlfriend Kamille. It’s basically a street with houses, you can park anywhere along the street. I think it’s pretty safe since there are a lot of people going around and there’s a Tanod guarding the gate. I noticed 4-5 houses with displays but only 3 got my attention and those were the ones I took photos of. Read More…

I work in Makati but I pass by Ortigas often because I drive my girlfriend home after work. 2 weeks ago I noticed the Christmas lights on the Meralco building facade and the Giant belen from outside so I decided to give the place a visit. It turns out to be Meralco’s Christmas park called Meralco Liwanag Park, I think they changed the name recently because I saw a sign outside before saying Paskuhan Village.

The Philippine Azkals went head to head with the L.A. Galaxy yesterday in a friendly game dubbed the “dream cup match”.
I have wanted to do a 360 shoot of an Azkals game for the longest time. This is the 4th time I’ve watched them live in Rizal Stadium. On all the previous matches people were not allowed to bring in DSLRs. This time they allowed it with limitations, you can only bring in lens with focal length up to 50mm, Good thing I only needed my 8mm lens. The bad thing, I had to shoot without my tripod. So sorry for some misalignments in the photo.

Distrito is a weekday late night market located in Amorsolo Open Parking lot beside Makati Medical Center. It is open every Wednesday to Friday 9pm to 3am. It opened last Friday November 25th.
Distrito is a project of Anton Diaz and partners. If you don’t know Anton Diaz he’s the man behind the website Our Awesome Planet (OAP) and also two popular night markets Mercato Centrale in Taguig and the newly opened night market in the south called Soderno. I am currently taking his Maven’s Secrets course about Internet marketing. We’ve been talking about collaborating on some projects, so I guess this is just first of a few, so watch out for that.

The Symphony of Lights and Sounds is an impressive display of Christmas lights that blink in harmony with famous Christmas songs. It happens in Ayala Triangle Gardens every year. I’m not sure what year it started but last year it was there. I work nearby so when we watched back then we just walked going there.
I usually leave the office after 10pm so when I pass by Ayala Triangle Gardens the lights are already off. The other day a couple of office mates invited me for a jog at the gardens around 9pm so I was able to catch the lights on and it looked nice from afar. The next day I decided to take my camera , watch the lights show and shoot a 360 of it.
