The Mind Museum at Taguig teaser image

The Mind Museum is the first world-class Science Museum in the Philippines. It’s located in JY Campos Park, 3rd Avenue Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

I managed to score a complimentary pass thanks to Anton Diaz of OAP. I went there yesterday just to shoot the place so I didn’t really get to try out all the interactive exhibits but I will come back soon because I want to bring Kamille, her brother and my nephew there. I’m sure they’ll enjoy it. Read More…

Mount Pinatubo teaser image

Looking for a travel buddy is easy if you’re going to beaches, monuments, food destinations, etc. But for places like Mount Pinatubo where there is some physical exertion involved I found it quite hard. For the longest time I’ve invited my friends to trek Mount Pinatubo and the usual answer : “ayoko nun nakakapagod!”, “mainit!”, “gusto ko yung relax lang”, “pass” and these are from basketball / futbol playing / sporty / gym going guys. No one wants to go trekking, period.

Two weeks ago, I finally got to go. Guess with whom? 3 girls.

Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal teaser image

We went to Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal last week during the “Araw ng Kagitingan” holiday. I was with my auntie and my cousins. I decided to spend some time with them because I spent so much time with my girlfriend Kamille over that long weekend.

I remember around 8 years ago we discovered this place. During that time not a lot of people knew about it and we had the resort all to ourselves every time we went here. Back then there was only one big pool and the giant slide, now they have Read More…

Thunderbird La Union teaser image

Last month we went to Thunderbird Resort Poro Point in San Fernando, La Union for Kamille’s birthday. It was her mom’s birthday gift for her. We were with her brothers JB and Kyle, her mom, and her best friend Monica.

The resort is located inside Poro point free port zone similar to Subic. It has a Santorini inspired architecture like Bellarocca, the buildings are white with a few sections colored blue, which I think is off. They should have just went with pure white to make it look more classy. Based on the development plan I saw in the lobby, the resort is maybe 50% done there are still a lot of unbuilt structures. It has a golf course, swimming pool, beach and garden wedding area.

When 2012 year started I said to myself it would be good to write an article about physical fitness since a lot of people’s new year’s resolution is about weight loss or getting fit. Late last year I had the opportunity to shoot Summit Ridge Tagaytay I got to upload just now because I’ve been very busy with work. This is just the second of several 360 virtual tour projects we will be doing for Robinsons (yahoo!!!).

Fish Feeding at Solenad, Nuvali in Sta. Rosa Laguna teaser image

Fishy fishy fishy!! If you’ve seen Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo then you probably remember that line. If you don’t then you’ll say it anyway because there’s tons of them here!

This is the first time I’ve seen so much koi in one place. Some were even jumping out of the water as they were being fed. It’s really a sight to see and I’m sure everybody not just the kids will enjoy it. It’s a good place to bring your family, dine out and enjoy some outdoor activities.

Memory Lane Tagaytay teaser image

I went to Tagaytay over the long weekend with Kamille and her friends. They didn’t have anything planned so I suggested we eat at Memory Lane. I’ve always wanted to see the place because I’ve had several friends post photos of their trip to this restaurant.

As you can see on the 360 virtual tour the place has this 50′s and 60′s vibe. There are old movie posters and antique items all over the place. There’s also a gift shop and a salon at the back.

University of Santo Tomas at Night teaser image

I got to see UST at night after the new year due to some unfortunate incident. My girlfriend’s brother had to be admitted to the UST hospital due to dengue fever.

I never appreciated UST until I saw it at night with all the lights on plus Kamille gave me a tour of her school and I realized how much historical value the place has. So when we headed back there I decided to bring my camera and shoot the place.

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you had a blast in 2011. If you’re planning trips for 2012 you should definitely include Caramoan Islands.
